Vermont courts continue to enforce reasonable non-compete agreements, at least for the time being. 

However, recent federal and state legislation across the country may impact the enforceability of non-competes and an employer’s ability to hire workers. One particularly thorny issue facing employers with remote workers is the array of differing non-compete laws state to state.
