Emily Garrett advises a variety of clients on environmental compliance and land use matters in connection with her clients’ complex real estate transactions and property development goals. Dedicated to finding the best solution for her clients and for the environment, Emily’s practice includes assessing clients’ environmental liabilities, facilitating commercial, infrastructure and Brownfields development, and ensuring environmental permitting and compliance.
Prior to joining DRM, Emily worked as an associate in the real estate investments and transactions practice of a large international law firm in Boston, Massachusetts, primarily evaluating environmental, health and safety liabilities in the context of competitive private equity transactions. While obtaining her law degree, Emily built her environmental law experience through internships with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and the Environmental Protection Agency (Region 1).
In her free time, Emily enjoys reading, hiking, running, knitting and spending time with her dog.
