Severance agreements can help facilitate a smooth transition after termination of employment. Typically, in exchange for severance pay, the employee agrees to sign a release of claims. In addition, the agreement can contain numerous other helpful provisions.

In this session, we will explore how to make these agreements effective and enforceable. We will review the best practices for each situation, including group plans and individual separation agreements.
