On January 9, 2024, the Department of Labor announced that the changes to its independent contractor rule under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will go into effect starting March 11, 2024. This new standard rescinds the independent contractor status rule announced in 2021, reverting back to the Department of Labor’s previous interpretation. Properly classifying workers as independent contractors instead of employees can be a significant risk to employers. Join Beth Rattigan and Alexa Clauss who will discuss these important rule changes at our next DRM HR Café on February 7, 2024.

We hope to see you on February 7th for an interesting and informative discussion.
