Attorneys Alison Sherman, Shannon Lenzini and Evan J. O’Brien Elected Directors

Burlington, VT: Attorneys Alison Sherman, Shannon Lenzini and Evan J. O’Brien have been named directors of the northern New England law firm Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC. They were elected at the firm’s year-end meeting on December 16, 2022 and became directors on January 1, 2023. Both Sherman and O’Brien practice out of the firm’s Burlington, VT office; Lenzini practices from the firm’s St. Johnsbury, VT office.

Alison Sherman began her career at DRM as a summer associate in 2012, and joined the firm’s trusts and estate group as an associate in September 2014 at the firm’s Lebanon, New Hampshire office. In early 2022, she moved her primary office location to Burlington, Vermont. A Vermont native, Sherman continues to serve Vermont and New Hampshire-based clients, engaging with them to accomplish their sophisticated estate planning needs, including the implementation of tax, charitable giving, asset protection, and wealth preservation strategies for high net worth individuals, families and business owners.

Shannon Lenzini also began her career at DRM as a summer associate in 2013 and 2014, and joined the firm’s business law group in St. Johnsbury, Vermont as an associate in August 2015. A key member of the firm’s tax-credit financing team, Lenzini helps clients develop and expand their businesses through the use of financing transactions involving a variety of federal and state tax credits. Lenzini also regularly advises clients in various other corporate matters, including financing, mergers and acquisitions and commercial real estate transactions.

Evan O’Brien was also a 2012 summer associate.  He joined Downs Rachlin Martin in September 2017 as an associate in the firm’s litigation group after clerking for the Honorable Christina Reiss, U.S. District Court for the District of Vermont and litigation practice at the New York office of an international law firm. O’Brien practices out of Downs Rachlin Martin’s Burlington, Vermont office. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, government investigations, and white collar defense. He advises and represents the firm’s clients in a broad array of commercial matters, including antitrust, securities, business torts, False Claims Act, and intellectual property disputes.
