Experienced employment and trial attorney, counseling clients through workplace challenges and strategically resolving employment disputes.
Jeremy Grant brings seasoned employment counsel and litigation experience to DRM’s Labor & Employment team, helping businesses manage risk and resolve disputes efficiently. He regularly advises employers on sensitive personnel matters, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, workplace investigations – with a strong emphasis on practical, preventative strategies designed to help avoid costly disputes. Jeremy understands that legal advice needs to work in the real world and prides himself on being both responsive and strategic. He enjoys providing day-to-day HR guidance with the goal of avoiding litigation before it starts.
When litigation can’t be avoided, Jeremy draws on more than a decade of experience to defend employers in wrongful termination, retaliation, and discrimination cases. His broad litigation experience also informs his approach, equipping him to anticipate challenges, stay several steps ahead when representing clients in high-stakes matters, and resolve significant claims through early motion practice and effective negotiation. His experience spans multiple industries, with a focus on healthcare, technology, hospitality, and growing entrepreneurial companies.

Experience
- Drafted motion for summary judgment in Fortune 500 company’s trade secrets case against a former employee who independently obtained a patent post-employment, leading to a favorable settlement at mediation
- Prepared and filed numerous employer responses to discrimination charges to promptly and efficiently resolve matters early, helping clients avoid costly or protected litigation and stay focused on running their business
- Provided real-time counsel and documentation strategies to employers facing high-risk employment decisions involving employee medical leave and disability, helping avoid costly disputes while balancing legal and employee relation concerns
- Conducted expedited internal investigations into sexual harassment complaints by independently interviewing witnesses, reviewing key documentation, and delivering clear, objective findings to support prompt and defensible employer response
- Defended healthcare providers against wrongful termination, retaliation, and wage-and-hour claims by developing fact-based defenses and guiding cases towards efficient resolution, minimizing operational disruption
- Developed updated workplace policies and revised employee handbooks for multi-state employers to address evolving federal, state and local employment laws, including remote work policies, vaccination mandates, leave entitlements, and COVID-related health and safety protocols
- Provided day-to-day counseling to HR professionals and business leaders on a range of personnel issues, including discipline, performance management, leave requests, termination, and accommodations to support compliant, consistent, and strategic decision-making
