Governor Scott announced last Friday a further easing of restrictions and updates to the – “New Work Safe Additions to the Be Smart, Stay Safe Order” issued by the Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development.
Effective June 26, 2020, outdoor sporting events may occur with up to 150 people including participants and spectators, as long as spectator areas can accommodate adequate social distancing of at least 100 square feet per person. In addition, pools and beaches may reopen, provided they comply with social distancing guidance.
Restaurants and bars, as well as entertainment and event venues, may increase to 50 % of its occupancy or 1 person per 100 square feet. This change will allow a new maximum of 75 people indoors and 150 people outdoors, as of June 26th. The guidance continues to encourage events and gatherings in an outdoor setting.
Religious facilities and places for worship will also see a change, and will be allowed to operate at 50% of its fire safety occupancy or 1 person per 100 square feet, with a maximum of 75 people indoors and 150 people outdoors. Libraries, galleries, museums, theaters and other indoor arts, culture and entertainment organizations are also subject to the same occupancy limits.
