Experience
- Defended clients in environmental litigation and enforcement actions brought by federal, state and local governmental authorities, and private parties. Lindsey brings a strategic and methodical approach to achieving a favorable resolution to the client.
- Counseled clients during regulatory and/or operational changes, conducting environmental due diligence in preparation for real estate and corporate transactions. Lindsey provides a proactive strategic approach to anticipate and address environmental issues in the transactional process before they arise, saving clients money and ensuring efficient closings.
- Counseled clients with achieving and maintaining compliance with federal, state and local environmental laws, regulations and permits. Lindsey brings varied experience backed by meticulous preparation to develop creative solutions to complex environmental issues across a variety of industries.
- Represented a family-owned foundry in a multi-million dollar contribution action and secured a settlement and dismissal with prejudice after completion of discovery and dispositive motions. Lindsey’s legal research revealed that the plaintiff was dishonest in its initial disclosures and subsequent motions to compel related to the existence of insurance settlements that the plaintiff had received for the very same property the plaintiff sued her client to recover cleanup costs for.
- Counseled municipalities through the process of investigating, remediating and redeveloping brownfield properties.
