Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC—one of Northern New England’s largest law firms—is seeking a dynamic Administrative Assistant to join our esteemed Labor & Employment team at our Brattleboro, VT office.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and strong communication abilities, particularly in writing and editing (including proofreading). The position demands initiative, the capacity to multitask effectively, and the ability to foster positive relationships with both existing and potential clients. While this position will be based in our Brattleboro, VT office, it will require occasional travel. Collaboration with legal professionals is essential, as is the ability to function autonomously in our fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate an aptitude for prioritizing tasks to meet stringent deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and its applications along with the ability to learn new software quickly and work in complex electronic documents is required. An ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and experience in a law firm or other professional setting (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
