Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC (DRM)—one of Northern New England’s largest law firms—is seeking a dynamic Administrative Assistant to join our esteemed Labor & Employment team in our Brattleboro, Vermont office.
The ideal candidate will offer administrative support including managing administrative tasks, preparing legal documents, and maintaining organized client records while working collaboratively with our attorneys and paralegals to ensure the delivery of high-quality client services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in the preparation, editing, proofreading, and filing of legal documents
- Manage phone calls, emails, and scheduling for attorneys
- Maintain and organize client files electronically in our document management system
- Perform data entry and handle confidential information with discretion
- Coordinate client meetings, event planning, arbitration dates, and travel arrangements
- Provide general administrative support, including copying and scanning
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with MS Office 365 and its applications
- Possess exceptional organizational skills and an aptitude for prioritizing tasks to meet stringent deadlines
- Strong communication skills, particularly in writing and editing (including proofreading)
- Ability to learn software applications quickly and work in complex electronic documents
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Associate or bachelor’s degree and experience in either a law firm or professional services/corporate setting (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Periodic travel may be necessary
