Protect Children by Supporting Families

"We should take action to protect other children from a similar tragic fate."

Trial lawyer Robert Luce, who is an advisor to the Vermont Parent Representation Center Inc., authored an opinion piece that was picked up by a number of Vermont's major news outlets. In this piece Luce opined that

"the recent deaths of two child abuse victims sadden and anger all of us. Importantly, it must move us to take action to protect other children from a similar tragic fate. Unfortunately, there is a risk that misdirected action could cause more harm than help for Vermont children."

He referenced research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a new book by Cris Beam entitled To the End of June: The Intimate Life of American Foster Care.

Luce, who chairs the Litigation Practice Group at the northern New England law firm Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC, focuses his practice on commercial litigation and the representation of plaintiffs in serious injury cases.
