Georgia Mountain Communications Advance Notice: Milton, VT

Georgia Mountain Communications Tower, LLC (“GMCT”), a joint collaboration between St. Albans Central Dispatch and Georgia Mountain Maples, LLC, is providing advance notice of its intent to seek a certificate of public good pursuant to 30 V.S.A. 248a to install a 180’ communications tower, antennas, and associated equipment compound within the lease area of the existing wind turbine facility atop Georgia Mountain in Milton, Vermont, Parcel ID: 216020.00000, Lot 2. Purposes of the Project include improving the overall coverage footprint and quality of the St. Albans Central Dispatch communications network, especially in sections of northern Chittenden County, Franklin County, and Grand Isle County, which will in turn improve 911 service for callers and first responders in the region. The Project will also improve communications quality for the extensive maple sap operations and related hospitality services at Georgia Mountain for Georgia Mountain Maples, LLC.
