Legal Services Corporation | Pro Bono Service Award

Legal Services Corporation

DRM Honored with Pro Bono Service Award by Legal Services Corporation.

Downs Rachlin Martin was recognized, along with three individual attorneys, for its "extraordinary commitment to equal justice", and for "its generous financial support for Access to Justice and pro bono programs." There to accept the award were Paul Ode, Elizabeth Wohl and Samantha Lednicky.

In its value statement, DRM has made a firm-wide commitment to community service, and it promotes pro bono work by highlighting attorney and staff volunteer service at a year-end celebration each December.  At last year’s dinner coordinator Kane Smart citied more than 550 hours of free legal services provided by DRM attorneys in the prior year.  He also listed a sampling of employee volunteer efforts ranging from serving as a guardiam ad litem to working at a homeless shelter to protecting the mark of a well-known national movement that encourages young girls interested in entering the STEM fields.
