Viridi Wireless, LLC / AT&T Petition for Certificate of Public Good Huntington Vermont

Viridi Wireless, LLC (“Viridi”) and New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC d/b/a AT&T are seeking to install a telecommunications tower in Huntington to improve AT&T wireless service in the area, and to benefit local first responders subscribing to the national communications system known as FirstNet. The tower is proposed for the Taft Farm, located at 1470 Taft Road, Huntington (Parcel Number 05-063.000). A petition for certificate of public good under 30 V.S.A. §248a is pending before the Vermont Public Utility Commission as ePUC Case No. 20-3260-PET.

The Public Utility Commission is accepting comments and/or motions to intervene through February Monday, February 15, 2021 at 4:30pm. Comments can be submitted to the Public Utility Commission using its ePUC platform. More information concerning public participation can be found at the Commission’s website

A public information session was held on Monday, January 11th with the Huntington Planning Commission, and was recorded. Please see the Town website for further details. A copy of the Viridi / AT&T Presentation is found here.

A second meeting with the Huntington Planning Commission is scheduled for Monday, January 25 at 7pm. Viridi and Huntington have, at the Planning Commission’s request, analyzed the effect of various heights below 180’ on both coverage / collocation potential, as well as visual impacts, all to be discussed at the upcoming meeting.
