Update: Benson, VT Communications Tower Visual Information
On November 23, 2018, New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC (“AT&T”), acting through its consultants Virtual Site Simulations, LLC, conducted a balloon test for a proposed communications tower at 3415 State Road, Benson, Vermont. The Project involves a 180’ communications tower and associated antennas and compounds, all as stated in the Advance Notice dated November 16, 2018. The Project will allow capabilities for FirstNet, a national interoperable network for first responders, as well as improving AT&T coverage in Benson.
The viewshed analysis and photo simulations from the balloon test are now available for viewing and downloading. Links are below.

The Project will allow capabilities for FirstNet, a national statewide interoperable network for first responders, as well as improving AT&T coverage in Benson.
At the present time, a balloon test is planned for Friday, November 23, 2018. A balloon will be flown at a height of 180’ in order to produce photo simulations documenting the project’s visibility to be mailed or transmitted to the parties listed on the advance notice. The balloon will be flown from roughly 9am until noon, which time period may be shortened or lengthened depending on weather conditions.
