Becky Lewandoski Joins Downs Rachlin Martin

(MONTPELIER, Vt.)  Former U.S. Senate staffer Rebecca Lewandoski will join the Government and Public Affairs Practice Group at Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC in time for the 2016 legislative session, it was announced today by attorney John H. Hollar, co-chair of the group. She succeeds Erin Sigrist, who left DRM in June to join the Vermont Retail and Grocers Association.

“Becky was a member of the team that served Sen. Jim Jeffords so well in the U.S. Senate and she knows both the legislative process and many of the people involved in the Vermont legislature,” Hollar said. “We know she will hit the ground running when the General Assembly returns in January.”

A graduate of Middlebury College and Vermont Law School, Lewandoski has spent the past five years as the program coordinator at the Upper Valley Trails Alliance in Norwich. At the alliance she worked with a number of area schools and businesses, coordinating educational programming, fundraising and community events.

Lewandoski worked for Jeffords on both the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pension Committee while he was its chair and on his personal staff. She left to attend law school, and was a legal intern for the Conservation Law Foundation and a clerk at the firm of Shems Dunkiel and Kassel in Burlington. She received her law degree in 2003.
