Attorney Timothy Sampson Joins Downs Rachlin Martin

(Burlington, Vt.) Attorney Timothy S. Sampson of Charlotte has joined the Real Estate Law Practice Group at Downs Rachlin Martin. Sampson will be of counsel to the firm and work from the Burlington Office.

“Tim Sampson has more than 20 years of experience in real estate law,” said R. Prescott Jaunich, chair of the Real Estate Practice Group at DRM. “He has worked in sophisticated real estate markets in northern Virginia and helped to develop a number of significant public and private projects. That background will be very helpful to clients in northern New England.”

Tim Sampson joined the Virginia law firm of Walsh, Colucci, Lubeley & Walsh, P.C. as an associate in 1997, and later served as a partner and of counsel. His work has focused on mixed use urban redevelopment projects, institutional real estate and public/private partnerships. His projects included:

  • development of a 140,000 square foot ice rink facility for an NHL franchise,
  • redevelopment of multiple mixed-use transit, office and retail space projects around Arlington, Va. Metro centers, and
  • a five-year multiphase health facility in Fairfax County.

Sampson is a graduate of the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va., and the George Mason University School of Law in Arlington. He taught legal research and writing at George Mason and captained the rugby team at William and Mary. He is also an Eagle Scout.
