Grand Isle, VT Balloon Test

Updated: AT&T balloon test completed February 28, 2019

New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC (“AT&T”) proposes to install a 140’ monopole telecommunications tower at the Grand Isle Municipal Water Tank, 38 Lovers Lane, Grand Isle, Vermont, as stated in the Advance Notice dated February 15, 2019. The Project will allow capabilities for FirstNet, a national statewide interoperable network for first responders, as well as improving AT&T coverage in Grand Isle.

A balloon test was conducted on Thursday, February 28, 2019.  The balloon was flown at a height of 140’ in order to produce photo simulations documenting the project’s visibility.  The balloon was flown from roughly 9am until 1pm.  Weather conditions on the day of the float were fair, with low winds and no precipitation.
