Director of Operations

Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC is seeking a Director of Operations to assume primary responsibility to lead several administrative functions of the firm, including human resources, facilities management and operations management. The position offers the successful candidate potential for additional leadership responsibility in the future.

The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, be intellectually curious and have a proven track record of being a sound decision-maker. Strong interpersonal skills combined with strategic thinking along with effective written and oral communication skills are essential to the position. At DRM, our people are our business, so a history of proven leadership that includes maintaining a strong organizational culture is key.

A qualified candidate will have a Master’s degree in business management or human resources management plus five or more years of senior level management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. SHRM-SCP or CLM professional designation is a plus, as is experience working for a professional services organization. Periodic travel within Vermont and New Hampshire is required.

Conflicts & Records Coordinator | Burlington, VT or St. Johnsbury, VT

Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized individual to fill the position of Conflicts and Records Coordinator in either the Burlington or St. Johnsbury, Vermont offices. This position involves all aspects of conflicts check searching and processing, assistance with administrative aspects of the Firm’s continuing legal education, records, library and attorney dues/licensing functions. 

The ideal candidate will be organized, detail- and team-oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills. The candidate must be able to multitask and to work collaboratively with staff, paralegals and attorneys with a professional demeanor. Qualified candidates will possess the ability to learn software applications and procedures quickly and will have proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access. A qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree and experience in either a law firm or corporate setting (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Legal Administrative Assistant/Office Clerk | Burlington, VT

Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC is seeking to fill the position of Legal Administrative Assistant/Clerk in our Burlington, Vermont office. The ideal candidate will be organized and detail-oriented with excellent communication, writing, and editing skills (especially proofreading) and be able to work collaboratively with staff, paralegals and attorneys with a professional demeanor. A qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree and experience in a law firm or equivalent combination of education and professional experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows 10 along with the ability to learn new software quickly and work with complex electronic documents is required.
