(Burlington, VT) Attorney William L. “Trey” Martin III of Montpelier has joined the Business Law Practice Group at Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC. Martin began at the firm in early September, and will work in its Burlington Office, according to Thomas H. Moody, chair of the firm’s Business Law Practice Group.
Martin holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Middlebury College and a master’s degree from St. Mary’s College of California. He worked as a teacher and coach before returning to law school in 2005. Most recently, he taught English and journalism at Burr and Burton Academy in Manchester from 2002-2005.
A 2008 graduate of Vermont Law School, Martin served as editor-in-chief of the Vermont Law Review and argued in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. As a student, he served as a research assistant and teacher’s assistant at Vermont Law School, completed a full time semester-in-practice in the Vermont Attorney General’s Office, and was a summer associate at Thompson Hine, LLP, a Cincinnati law firm.
