(Burlington) Jamie E. Platkin of Concord, N.H. has joined the law firm Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC (DRM) as an associate. Working from the firm’s Burlington office, she focuses her legal work in intellectual property law, particularly in the areas of trademark clearance and prosecution, licensing and other intellectual property agreements, and intellectual property counseling.

Since graduating from law school in 2005, Platkin has been an associate with Shaheen & Gordon, P.A. in Concord, N.H., where she handled intellectual property matters and practiced in the areas of corporate, employment, criminal and construction law, as well as general civil litigation and insurance defense. She also worked with Shaheen & Gordon as a law student. In addition, Platkin worked as an intern in the legal department at The Timberland Company, where she gained additional experience with trademark, domain name, anti-counterfeiting and corporate law matters.
Platkin graduated cum laude from Franklin Pierce Law Center, where she concentrated her studies on trademark and copyright law and was a research assistant in trademark law. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Tufts University.
