(Burlington) Debra R. Schoenberg, a director at Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC and chair of the DRM Schoenberg Family Law Group, will co-lead "Successful Financial Settlements for Your Divorce Client," a National Business Institute seminar, Wednesday, April 11 at the Sheraton Burlington Hotel and Conference Center.
Schoenberg, whose practice is limited exclusively to matrimonial and family law, lectures frequently on family law topics. She is a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, is board-certified as a family law trial specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, and is a former chair of the Vermont Bar Association's Family Law section. In addition, she recently served on a legislative study committee that made recommendations regarding the post-divorce continuation of health insurance.
Schoenberg was the principal in the law firm of Schoenberg & Associates, representing family law clients throughout Vermont and New York, for fifteen years before joining DRM in 2004, and she practiced matrimonial and family law for ten years in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., after receiving her J.D. from Franklin Pierce Law Center.
