Attorney Brad Fawley to Present at Environmental Bankers Meeting
June 10, 2011
(STOWE) Attorney R. Bradford Fawley of Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC in Brattleboro is among the speakers at a meeting of the Environmental Bankers Association in Stowe June 12-14. Fawley will draw from his experience working on environmental litigation for banks and other institutions in New England for a talk about how lenders handle legal obligations, foreclosure, due diligence and confidentiality when the properties they deal with are contaminated and the cleanups are controlled under state and federal law.
Fawley counsels clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies to individuals throughout New England regarding intellectual property, environmental and insurance coverage matters. His environmental litigation practice focuses on contaminated properties and toxic tort claims. He also defends clients in enforcement actions brought by environmental agencies and citizen groups. Fawley was selected for inclusion in New England Super Lawyers in the area of environmental law and in Chambers USA 2011: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business.
The three-day conference at the Stoweflake Resort & Spa will focus on emerging issues in environmental banking. The legal panel will also update recent case law affecting lenders on the credit and trust side.
