Jamie Platkin provides counseling in the areas of trademark and copyright law, performs trademark clearance and prosecution, enforces clients’ intellectual property rights, and negotiates and drafts intellectual property agreements.
Professional Activities
Before joining DRM, Jamie was an attorney at a New Hampshire law firm, where she also clerked while in law school. Jamie counseled clients on trademark and copyright matters, including clearing and registering trademarks and enforcing clients’ intellectual property rights.
As a law student, Jamie concentrated her studies on trademark and copyright law. She was a research assistant for a professor of trademark law and participated in Franklin Pierce Law Center’s Intellectual Property Summer Institute. During her second year of law school, Jamie interned in the legal department at The Timberland Company where she gained experience with trademark, domain name, anti-counterfeiting and corporate law matters. In addition, Jamie was a teaching assistant for Business Associations and a member of Pierce Law Review.
Community Involvement
Jamie serves as secretary of Toastmasters of Greater Burlington.
