Practice Focus

Sheila Renner Grace brings nine years of experience as an attorney with the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities to her environmental, energy and public utility law practice. She is based primarily in the firm’s Lebanon office.

Significant Matters

  • Working with the New England Conference of Public Utilities Commissioners, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the Independent System Operator in New England, Sheila assisted the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities in forming policy on wholesale electric market issues.
  • She conducted regulatory hearings on the siting of power plants and transmission lines and drafted new regulations for the Siting Board.
  • Collaborating with multiple state agencies, she helped to formulate the Massachusetts state energy plan.

Community Involvement

Sheila helped coordinate and volunteered at “Christmas in the City,” an event whose mission is to support and mentor homeless families and to help make holidays memorable for children in Boston’s shelters, for nine years. She has served as a coordinator of the Neighborhood Superstars awards, which honors Boston's unsung heroes – the individuals who create, organize, coach, mentor and support athletics in Boston's urban environments.
