Peter Robb has a national labor and employment practice and a solid reputation for providing sharp advice, rigorous representation and powerful litigation on behalf of employers on matters relating to union organizing campaigns, labor contract negotiations and arbitrations, employment discrimination claims and issues related to or arising from plant closings, relocations and acquisitions.
Chambers USA, which identifies the nation’s top lawyers based on interviews with clients, calls Peter a “
top player” who excels at helping employers deal with union-organizing attempts. “
When that sort of thing happens, go to him,” Chambers concludes.
Past-chair of the firm’s Labor and Employment Practice Group, Peter leads a team of “‘
talented and knowledgeable’ attorneys, who are known for their
‘tremendous depth’ and experience with regard to union issues in particular. The team is called upon to educate supervisors and managers on the legal implications of issues such as sexual harassment in the workplace. It works across the nation, particularly in neighboring states, and can
‘meet the client at any level,’” says Chambers.
When Peter joined DRM in 1995, he had accumulated significant credentials in the labor and employment field as an attorney with Proskauer Rose in Washington, D.C. He began his career as a field attorney in Baltimore – and later as chief counsel to Robert P. Hunter – at the National Labor Relations Board and as a supervisory attorney and trial trainer for the Federal Labor Relations Authority.
