Marie McHenry is a paralegal in the firm’s Burlington office. Her practice concentrates in business law with emphasis in captive insurance. As part of the Captive Insurance Group she supports the insurance practice, which represents traditional insurers as well as more than 100 organized and operating Vermont single-parent and group captive insurance companies. This practice involves licensing, initial capitalization and governance issues that arise after commencement of operations. In this capacity, Marie works with a large number of group captive insurers and maintains a general administrative and corporate practice. Her experience includes more than 12 years of service in the captive insurance industry. Marie has been with DRM for three years.
Marie has attended numerous seminars sponsored by the Vermont Captive Insurance Association and the Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc., on topics related to captive insurance company management and the development, implementation and control of programs involving insurance products, financial services and contracted claims management.
Professional Activities
Marie worked previously as an executive assistant with CSX Insurance Company, providing administrative and special project support to the president and general manager, including data management analysis. She also performed cost accounting work for a retail company and managed credit card collection disputes and complaints for a bank in Burlington, Vt.
