Chantal McKeage is a paralegal in the Real Estate, Land Use & Environmental Law Group and the Energy and Telecommunications Group. Her practice concentrates in commercial real estate and telecommunications-related issues with emphasis on title matters and permitting, including the preparation of Act 250, zoning and building permit applications.
Prior to joining DRM, Chantal was a paralegal/legal assistant with a firm in Boulder, Colo., where she acted as lead title claim and senior redemption specialist within the foreclosure/bankruptcy department. She worked to resolve title claims and redeemed property held in trust. Chantal has also assisted attorneys with litigation matters, drafting and editing documents and correspondence, creating exhibits, performing research and managing files.
As a member of DRM’s cross-practice ARRA-Stimulus team, Chantal monitored and interpreted federal and state developments related to the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act.
Accomplishments
Coordinated and participated in a major title research project involving the origins and current status of mineral rights interests in abandoned rural mines
Performed due diligence for a leading telecommunications infrastructure company in its comtemplated acquisition of assets situated throughout the United States, including lease and lease portfolio data extraction
Completed title work and land use permitting (Act 250 and municipal zoning) for a major wireless telecommunications provider in its leasing operations in Vermont, New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts
