Practice Focus


Scott Jaunich counsels developers and commercial interests in issues related to environmental permitting; subdivision, boundary and zoning proceedings; planned developments; pre-acquisition due-diligence; and the defense and prosecution of eminent domain. He represents clients in the development and sale of telecomm facilities, retail and commercial leasing, residential and commercial projects such as auto dealerships, marinas, medical offices, clinic facilities and hotels.

Professional Activities


Scott is recognized as one of Vermont's leading real estate lawyers in Chambers USA 2009: Guide to America's Leading Lawyers for Business. He is a member of Lex Mundi's Real Estate Practice Group, a global network of legal professionals who focus on new developments in real estate law and work to identify better solutions to issues facing clients. Lex Mundi is the world's leading association of independent law firms.

Before joining DRM, Scott worked at several law firms in California before becoming a founding partner of Terra Law, a San Jose, California law firm. He was a Carthage Scholar at the Political Economy Research Center in Bozeman, Montana and a board member of the Home Builders Association of Northern California, Southern Division.

Community Involvement


Scott is a member of the board of directors of Mobius, The Mentoring Movement.  Previously, he served on the board of directors of the Lund Family Center in Burlington. He coaches youth soccer and baseball at the Charlotte Central School on a volunteer basis.
