Professional Focus
Leslie Mooney is a paralegal with the DRM Schoenberg Family Law Group. Her practice concentrates in all aspects of family law litigation, including divorce, parentage, civil union, child support and child custody matters.
She worked previously as a paralegal with both plaintiff and insurance defense law firms in Burlington, Vt., working in the areas of family law, personal injury law, workers compensation, medical malpractice, employment law and civil rights defense.
Leslie decided to specialize in the area of family law because it affords her extensive client contact. She particularly enjoys assisting and supporting clients through what is usually a very difficult and stressful time by facilitating the preparation of financial and other related documents. She also works with the family law attorneys to provide efficient and effective trial preparation and serves as a resource for clients when they have questions or concerns that do not require the immediate attention of an attorney.
Professional Activities
Leslie currently serves as a member of the Woodbury College Legal Studies Advisory Board and is a member of the Vermont Paralegal Organization.
Community Involvement
Leslie coordinated fundraising efforts within the firm and participated as a paddler on the DRM team in the 2007 Lake Champlain Dragonboat Festival.
She is currently a member of the Village Advancement Committee for Essex Junction, Vt. She is a former board member and chair of the Essex Junction Prudential Committee (school board).
Leslie previously served as a board member and secretary for Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity and as a member of the Essex Junction Recreation and Parks Advisory Council.
