Karen has attended numerous specialized trainings provided by local and national associations on topics of real estate, ethics and corporate/business entities.
Karen Shufelt is a paralegal in the firm’s St. Johnsbury office who works with legal staff, clients and third parties providing document management support and coordinating Public Service Board filings and hearings. She works primarily on large, document-intensive projects and helps develop products and resources for the Public Utility Group. Specifically, Karen incorporates advanced technology and software, including document and litigation trackers, digests and spreadsheets, and works directly with clients to ensure that information is correct and timely.
Karen trains, leads and collaborates with other firm personnel on case management and document matters, applying her database management skills to produce, intake and index documents for several of DRM’s largest litigation matters and to help attorneys utilize the firm’s robust technology to its highest level.
Active in the Acquisitions and Development Group, Karen creates working versions of electronic spreadsheets and letters, notes updates to original information, updates large local databases and exchanges information between multiple databases for clients and group members.
She also works directly with attorneys, clients and auditors to respond to all audit requests for the firm.
