Professional Focus
As a senior litigation paralegal and investigator in the St. Johnsbury office, Don Blake performs all non-attorney work for the firm's Vermont and New Hampshire “Lemon Law” practice. He is also a member of the Acquisitions and Development team, assisting with real estate transactions and regulatory, compliance and permitting issues that affect the wireless telecommunications industry. Don also supports the public utilities practice as needed. He has been with DRM for more than 25 years.
Accomplishments
Don has prepared over 800 “Lemon Law” cases for General Motors in New Hampshire and Vermont. He has worked closely with attorneys for two nuclear power plants, assisting with extended power uprate and dry fuel storage and with license renewal. He assisted management of a nuclear plant with labor issues involving a union’s effort to organize the plant.
Don handles all aspects of paralegal litigation work for attorneys in the St. Johnsbury office and assists other paralegals with similar work in other DRM offices. He works well with professionals within the firm and outside, including experts, police officers, insurance investigators and fire investigators.
Community Involvement
Active in the community he has lived in for a lifetime, Don has served on the board of trustees for the Village of Lyndonville and the Lyndonville Electric Department since 1986. He has also served on the board of trustees at Lyndon Institute, his high school alma mater, since 1988.
