Practice Focus
Amanda Ahmadi handles all aspects of divorce and civil union dissolution, child support issues, post-judgment modifications, and court order enforcement issues, and represents parents, children and other interested parties in juvenile matters. She prepares Qualified Domestic Relations Orders governing the division of retirement assets in divorce and civil union dissolution cases. Amanda's goal is to maintain civility throughout complicated and emotional cases in order to obtain a resolution which is in the children's best interests, and which secures a fair and equitable resolution for the client.
Professional Activities
Amanda teaches the Pro Se Education Course at the Family Court and also serves as a Guardian Ad Litem for family court cases.
Before joining DRM, Amanda served as an assistant court clerk in Chittenden County Family Court. She joined Schoenberg & Associates as a paralegal in 1998 and became an associate of the firm after gaining admission to the bar in March 2004.
Community Involvement
Amanda recently joined the board of the Vermont Children’s Trust Foundation, which supports statewide programs for children and families to help give all kids a fair chance to be successful. Amanda also serves on the University of Vermont Regional Board and the Countryside Homeowner’s Association Board of Directors.
