Professional Focus

Allen DeForge is a paralegal who supports DRM attorneys who represent wireless communications providers, retail businesses and public utilities to acquire, integrate and maintain large portfolios of assets focusing on consent, leasing and title matters.

Allen practices in Vermont as an Acquisitions Specialist for the Acquisition & Development ("A&D") team that consists of attorneys and paralegals, but mainly focuses on projects that include properties outside Vermont.  As a member of the A&D team, he performs due diligence on all aspects of closing matters on commercial real estate projects.

Accomplishments

Allen was the paralegal team leader for the group's largest acquisition to-date and recently has been a project manager for a telecommunications client that doubled in size due to a merger/acquisition. Working closely with attorneys Paul H. Ode, R. Prescott Jaunich and William Dodge, he serves as supervisor for the A&D team on several projects.

Prior to joining DRM, Allen was an adjudication specialist in the administration of the Alternate Dispute Resolution process of the class action suit settlement at National Life Insurance Company in Montpelier. He also served as reparative coordinator and administrative probation specialist for Barre Court and Reparative Services. Allen was a contract paralegal with the law firm of Diamond and Associates, as well as a civil rights intake specialist in the Vermont Attorney General's office.
